Ten Hag’s position has come under scrutiny but draws with FC Porto and Aston Villa before the international break have bought the Dutchman time. Publicly, there has been no suggestion an exit is imminent though results must improve – and quickly.
Brentford’s fast starts are something the hosts must be wary of. Thomas Frank’s team have scored inside the opening two minutes in each of their last four Premier League games.

Manchester United have several injury concerns heading into the clash with the international break having not been kind. Manuel Ugarte limped off with an injury while representing Uruguay, while Kobbie Mainoo and Harry Maguire have been ruled out for a ‘few weeks’.
Left-backs Luke Shaw and Tyrell Malacia remain out, while Noussair Mazraoui recently underwent an operation to address heart palpitations but has returned to training. Lisandro Martinez or Jonny Evans could deputise at left-back against the Bees should the Moroccoan be unable to feature.
