Chelsea vs Newcastle – Predicted lineup and team news

Chelsea host Newcastle in the Premier League on Sunday looking to respond to last weekend’s loss at Liverpool.

The West Londoners won plaudits for their performance in defeat at Anfield, as Chelsea boasted more possession than Liverpool and restricted the hosts to just eight shots on goal. However, Maresca will want to ensure positive performances turn into results as Chelsea look to secure a top-four finish.

The Blues bounced back with a comfortable win at Panathinaikos in the Europa Conference League on Thursday, as a second-string side triumphed 4-1 in Athens. Impressive performances from Mykhailo Mudryk, Joao Felix and Christopher Nkunku have added to Maresca’s selection headache.

Newcastle arrive at Stamford Bridge with their form having dipped from a strong start. Eddie Howe’s side are without a win in four Premier League game and have failed to score in their last two. The Magpies have also not won at Chelsea since 2012.
