Liverpool have been handed a major injury boost as Trent Alexander-Arnold returned to training ahead of facing Real Madrid in the Uefa Champions League on Wednesday.
The right-back sustained a hamstring injury during the 2-0 win over Aston Villa in the Premier League, forcing him off the pitch at halftime, earlier this month.
The England international joined his teammates in a training session on Tuesday ahead of the game at Anfield, although Slot confirmed he will not start against Madrid.
Federico Chiesa, who has been plagued by injury and fitness issues since joining Liverpool in the summer, also returned to training this week, but is not available for selection.
