AC Milan are willing to allow Theo Hernandez to leave the club but will demand a fee of €50m from interested clubs.
Hernandez is a transfer target for several top clubs heading into the summer with Manchester United, Bayern Munich and Real Madrid all courting the left-back.
Ruben Amorim has made the signing of a wing-back his focus at Manchester United, with Luke Shaw and Tyrell Malacia struggling with fitness issues over the last 18 months.
Shaw’s latest setback has seen efforts stepped up and Hernandez is a leading target at Old Trafford, where the exit of sporting director Dan Ashworth was this week announced just five months after his arrival.
United are not alone in pursuing Hernandez. Bayern Munich held advanced talks to sign the 27-year-old last summer and remain interested.
The German giants consider Hernandez an ideal replacement for Alphonso Davies, whose contract in Bavaria expires in the summer. There has been no progress on an extension for the Canadian, who is a transfer target for Real Madrid.
According to Italian outlet Calciomercato, Real Madrid are also monitoring Hernandez’s situation should a free transfer move for Davies fail to materialise. Hernandez previously spent two seasons with Real Madrid between 2017 and 2019, but made just 13 senior appearances for Los Blancos.
He has since emerged as one of Europe’s most effective attacking left-backs since joining Milan, where he has been named in the Serie A Team of the Season on four occasions.
After arriving in a €20m deal from Real Madrid, he has scored 31 goals and provided 41 assists in 230 appearances for the Rossoneri.
