Arsenal captain Martin Odegaard says the squad “all feel we can do something special this season”.
The Gunners are chasing a first Premier League title in over 20 years having finished second in the table behind Manchester City the past two years. They find themselves in third position chasing down leaders Liverpool, who are six points ahead with a game in hand.
The north London outfit are also third in the the Uefa Champions League standings as they seek to win the competition for the first time in their history.
“I think we all feel we can do something special this season, we all have belief in what we are doing and have confidence in what we do as a team”, Odegaard wrote in his programme notes ahead of facing Everton in the Premier League on Saturday.
“We learned a few good lessons last season. Of course we wanted to go all the way but we didn’t, so we have to take those lessons and use them this year.
“Let’s keep getting better – our last two Champions League results have been really positive, so we want to make sure we keep the momentum.”
