Enzo Maresca has said he cannot rule out Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall leaving Chelsea in the upcoming transfer window.
The midfielder has struggled to establish himself since arriving in a £30m deal from newly-promoted Leicester City in the summer.
Dewsbury-Hall marked a rare start with a goal as Chelsea thrashed Shamrock Rovers 5-1 on Thursday night in the Europa Conference League. However, he has been limited to just 55 minutes in the Premier League and has featured in just two of the last 11 matchday squads.
His limited involvement comes despite impressing under Maresca at Leicester last season. Dewsbury-Hall scored 12 goals and provided 14 assists as the Foxes won the Championship and turned down interest from other clubs to sign for Chelsea.
Maresca was asked whether Dewsbury-Hall could move on in search of regular football in January and said he can not rule out a potential exit.
“Unfortunately I cannot say that Dewsbury-Hall is not for sale,” he said after the win over Shamrock Rovers.
“Not only about Kiernan, but the whole squad. When the window is open, anything can happen.”
Chelsea’s win made it six from six in the league phase as the Blues eased into the Round of 16. However, Maresca said his squad are not getting ahead of themselves as they bid to win the trophy this season.
‘I think now that we are in the next round we have to be focused on the next round, and then if we are able to win, go on to the next one. Thinking about playing the final or winning the competition when there is still six games to go to reach the final, I don’t think that is correct.’
