Marcus Rashford has been ruled out of Manchester United’s trip to face Liverpool due to illness.
Rashford’s future with the club is up in the air after the forward expressed a desire to leave Manchester United last month.

The 27-year-old was dropped from the squad to face Manchester City on December 15th, before missing out on the following two matches. He returned to the substitute’s bench for the defeat to Newcastle last week but did not make an appearance.
Ruben Amorim has now confirmed Rashford will not be in the squad to take on Liverpool on Sunday. Speaking at his pre-match press conference, he said the England international will play no part at Anfield.
“At the moment he is ill. He is not training. He is going to be out this week.”
Manchester United travel to Liverpool looking to end a run of four consecutive defeats. Amorim’s side sit just seven points above the bottom three with the head coach having conceded his team could be dragged into a relegation battle.
“That is really clear [United are being dragged into a relegation battle] so we have to fight,” Amorim told Sky Sports. “It is a really difficult moment, one of the more difficult moments in the history of Manchester United and we have to address it with honesty.”
