Ange Postecoglou concedes that the January transfer window ‘is tricky’ as Tottenham look to make reinforcements.
The Lilywhites have been hit with an injury crisis this season with numerous first-team figures sustaining long-term injuries.
In his pre-match press conference ahead of their trip to Everton on Sunday, Postecoglou revealed the club are trying to bring in new faces.

“I know the club is working hard as they can. January is not easy. I know work is being done behind the scenes to get some players in.”
Spurs were heavily linked with Paris Saint-Germain striker Randal Kolo Muani early on in the window. However, the Frenchman is imminently expected to move to Juventus on loan. The Australian admits that, despite interest, the striker was never close to signing.
“We were interested in and looking at a number of players. Did we get to point he was coming to us? No.”
As the January window approaches the business end, Postecoglou senses that the market will get a lot busier.
“Traditionally it ramps up in final week. We are approaching that for all clubs.
“It is trickier in January because you’re trying to acquire players from clubs who might want to replace that player, so lot of logistics involved.”
Spurs have already made one transfer this month after they brought in highly-rated goalkeeper Antonin Kinsky.
The Czech stopper kept two clean sheets in his first two appearances before having a mixed display against Arsenal on Wednesday. His manager believes Kinsky has adapted very well to his demands.
“Fair to say he has been thrown in at the deep end. He has had three big challenges in different ways.
“[Kinsky is] certainly gaining experience, looking at games he has played and those challenges. He has handled it really well.
“I said from day one he is a very assured young man. From a goalkeeping aspect, he has got all attributes we are looking for. He will be a good fit for us.
“We have thrown him in in at the deep end but we will get benefits from that.”
