Aston Villa travel to north London to face Arsenal in what will be a massive test for Unai Emery’s side in the Premier League.
The Gunners have not lost any of their last 13 home games in the top flight, winning ten and drawing three. However, it was the Villans who inflicted the most recent league defeat at the ground.
Villa ended the host’s 11-game unbeaten run last April thanks to late goals from Leon Bailey and Ollie Watkins, ultimately costing them the Premier League title. Manchester City went on to top the table by two points. Incidentally, Emery oversaw a longer home unbeaten run (16 games) during then 2018/19 campaign while he was in charge of Arsenal.
The west Midlands outfit did the double over Mikel Arteta’s men last season, beating them 1-0 at Villa Park thanks to an early goal from John McGinn. Arsenal returned the favour with a 2-0 away win in August, Leandro Trossard and Thomas Partey getting the goals.
