Fenerbahce have agreed a deal in principle to sign Milan Skriniar from Paris Saint-Germain.
The Turkish side have reached an agreement to bring the out-of-favour defender to Istanbul, beating competition from clubs around Europe.

Tottenham Hotspur had been linked with a move to sign Skriniar to ease their defensive injury crisis, while Aston Villa have also been credited with interest. The latter have since turned their attention to Sevilla centre-back Loic Balde.
Fenerbahce’s offer of a permanent deal is understood to have helped Jose Mourinho’s side win the race. The club’s fierce rivals, Galatasaray, and Napoli had also expressed interest in Skriniar.
Fabrizio Romano is reporting that the 29-year-old is expected in Istanbul on Wednesday to finalise his move to the club. He has not been included in the PSG squad for their Champions League clash against Manchester City this evening.
Skriniar’s arrival represents a coup for Fenerbahce, with the four-time Slovak Footballer of the Year having won Serie A and Ligue 1 titles across spells at Inter Milan and PSG.
He is set to become Fenerbahce’s second centre-back signing of the January transfer window. Earlier this week, the Turkish Süper Lig side signed Diego Carlos from Aston Villa for a fee of around €10m (£8.45m).
Fenerbahce are currently second in the Süper Lig table, six points behind champions Galatasaray. In Europe, Mourinho’s side are battling to secure progress in the Europa League, ahead of facing Lyon tomorrow.
