Man United are reportedly discussing the possibility of making a loan move for wantaway Chelsea attacker Christopher Nkunku.
The Red Devils are looking to improve their frontline in the January transfer window having scored just 27 goals in 22 Premier League matches, the joint sixth-lowest tally in the division.
Nkunku is seeking a way out of Stamford Bridge after making just three starts in the top flight since manager Enzo Maresca took the reins. He has been linked with a return to the Bundesliga with Bayern Munich, while PSG are also said to be interested in signing the France international.
Man United discuss Nkunku move, Chelsea ‘keen’ on Garnacho
Man United this week emerged as a possible destination for Nkunku and the club are “discussing internally” a potential loan deal, according to Sky Sports News.
It has been claimed that, while Chelsea would rather not sell the 27-year-old, they would be “tempted” to do business for £70 million. However, a permanent transfer is “highly, highly unlikely” at this interval.
Man United are restricted in the transfer market due to Financial Fair Play and would consider selling some of their academy products, including Alejandro Garnacho.
