Ange Postecoglou has said there is ‘nothing imminent’ in terms of transfers for Tottenham but expects the club ‘to be involved’ in a frenetic end to the transfer window.
Postecoglou has insisted his squad needs investment having been decimated by injuries this season. Spurs have lost four consecutive Premier League games and sit 15th in the table, just seven points above the relegation places.

Despite his calls for reinforcements, Spurs have signed only goalkeeper Antonin Kinsky so far this month.
Speaking ahead of the club’s Europa League clash with IF Elfsborg, Postecoglou said there was no imminent news on arrivals but expects business before Monday’s deadline.
“Right now, there’s nothing imminent but that doesn’t mean there aren’t opportunities being explored.
“Traditionally, the last few days of any window tend to be pretty frenetic. I expect us to be involved in that.
“Does that mean anything will get concluded? I can’t commit to that.
“I’m a bit of a distance from it but the information and dialogue I have is that we are exploring all opportunities to bring some help in for the players.”
Postecoglou’s position at Tottenham has come under scrutiny in recent weeks, following a torrid run of form. However, the Australian said outside noise does not impact his ability to focus on the task at hand.
