Premier League suitors learn Jamie Gittens price tag

Borussia Dortmund will demand a fee of £85m for Jamie Gittens amid interest in the winger from the Premier League.

Gittens is enjoying a breakthrough season at Borussia Dortmund with the 20-year-old’s performances having put Premier League clubs on notice.

He has scored 11 goals in all competitions and provided three assists, while Gittens leads the Bundesliga for successful take-ons and progressive carries per 90 minutes.

Arsenal, Tottenham Hotspur, Liverpool and Chelsea have all been heavily linked with a deal to sign Gittens.

The England u-21 international spent time in the academies of Chelsea, Reading and Manchester City before leaving English football for Germany in 2022. He has since made 91 senior appearances for Dortmund.

Dortmund want £85m fee for Jamie Gittens

According to German outlet BILD, Dortmund will demand a fee of £85m for the player this summer. He is contracted to the Bundesliga side until 2028 and Dortmund are under no pressure to sell.

That price would make Gittens the third-most expensive sale in Dortmund history, behind Ousmane Dembele and Jude Bellingham. He’d also become the fourth-most expensive English footballer of all time.

Gittens, who has won 11 caps for England at u-21 level, is in contention for a maiden England call-up next month.

Former Borussia Dortmund manager Thomas Tuchel will name his first England squad in the coming weeks, ahead of March’s international break. England begin their 2026 World Cup qualification campaign with clashes against Albania and Latvia.
