Liverpool manager Arne Slot has said he hopes Marcus Rashford can rediscover his form at Aston Villa – though not against his side on Wednesday night.
Liverpool travel to face Aston Villa in the Premier League tomorrow evening and will come up against a familiar foe in Rashford.

The 27-year-old boasts a strong record against the Reds, having scored seven times in 19 previous appearances against Liverpool for Manchester United.
After expressing a desire for a new challenge in December, Rashford joined Aston Villa on loan until the end of the campaign. He produced a lively cameo off the bench during the draw with Ipswich last weekend and Slot has praised the forward ahead of facing Villa tomorrow.
He said he was ‘really impressed’ by Rashford when first facing the England international and hopes he can reignite his fortunes at Villa Park after a tough spell at Manchester United. However, just not against his team tomorrow as Liverpool look to edge closer to the Premier League title.
“The first time I faced him in real life was the USA tour and I was impressed. I was really impressed how fast he is, how he has a nice height and is comfortable with the ball, so I think he is a very good player,” Slot said at his pre-match press conference.
“I hope for him that he is going to show that at Villa. Of course I am not hoping that he will do this tomorrow but I would be completely surprised if a player of his quality is not going to show it because he is a very good player in my opinion.”
