The Champions League quarter-final draw has been confirmed after the conclusion of the Round of 16.
Eight teams remain with each dreaming of becoming European champions. Real Madrid required a penalty shootout to progress past Atletico Madrid in a gripping tie between the city rivals.
Carlo Ancelotti’s side are aiming to defend the trophy and win a record-extending 16th European crown in 2025. In their path are Arsenal, who eased past PSV Eindhoven 9-3 on aggregate in the last 16.
Paris Saint-Germain eliminated Premier League leaders Liverpool on penalties and face English opposition again in the quarter-finals. The French champions come up against Aston Villa, who are under the management of former manager Unai Emery.
There’s a rematch of the 2010 Champions League final as Bayern Munich and Inter Milan do battle, while Robert Lewandowski will be out to down his former team when Barcelona take on Borussia Dortmund.

The quarter-final ties will be played on April 8th and 9th, with the second legs scheduled for the 15th and 16th.
Under the new format, the semi-final draw has already been made. There’s the potential for an all-English semi-final between Arsenal and Aston Villa, should both teams progress from tough ties.
Real Madrid and Barcelona are on separate sides of the draw, opening up the prospect of a first-ever El Clásico Champions League final.
The 2025 Champions League final will take place on May 31st 2025 at the Allianz Arena in Munich.
