Arsenal have entered talks with Leicester City over a deal to sign right-back Timothy Castagne.
Arsenal want to add to their options at right-back this summer ahead of the club’s Champions League return.
The Gunners have been linked with Valladolid teenager Ivan Fresneda, but are considering a raid on relegated Leicester with Castagne viewed as a potential cut-price alternative.
The Belgium international would add a versatile option to Mikel Arteta’s squad and has operated in both full-backs positions for the Foxes, while the 27-year-old is a regular with Belgium and has earned 31 caps at international level.
Goal are reporting that Arsenal have now opened talks with Leicester over a potential deal for Castagne, who could join an exodus at the King Power Stadium.
Youri Tielemans has already signed for Aston Villa as a free agent, while James Maddison and Harvey Barnes are attracting interest from multiple Premier League clubs.
Castagne would add depth to Arsenal’s right-back options, with Ben White having been used at full-back for much of the season and Takehiro Tomiyasu having struggled with fitness issues.
