Harry Kane’s agent has ‘secret transfer meeting’ with French side PSG

Harry Kane’s representatives reportedly met with Paris Saint-Germain last month to discuss a potential move to the club.

Kane’s future is uncertain with the forward out of contract at Tottenham next summer and there is interest from leading clubs across Europe.

Manchester United, Bayern Munich and Real Madrid have all been linked with the England captain and the Foot Mercato are reporting that Paris Saint-Germain have held initial talks over a potential deal.

PSG’s sporting director Luis Campos is understood to have met Kane’s representatives and interest in the 29-year-old could accelerate following the news that Kylian Mbappe will not extend his contract at the Parc des Princes.

Mbappe’s deal expires in 2024 and PSG will look to sell the club’s all-time record goalscorer this summer if his stance on an extension does not change.

Kane has emerged as a leading candidate to replace Mbappe, while PSG also have interest in Napoli’s Victor Osimhen. However, the latter is valued at around €150m and has little interest in a return to Ligue 1 after a previous spell at Lille.

Kane appears a viable option given his contract situation at Spurs, but PSG could face considerable competition. Erik ten Hag has made the signing of a forward his priority at Manchester United, though there is a reluctance from Spurs to do business with a Premier League rival.

Real Madrid also require forward additions after the departures of Karim Benzema and Mariano this summer, while Bayern Munich have reportedly not ‘given up hope’ of persuading Kane to the Bundesliga.
