Three Chelsea players set to make Saudi move

The Saudi Pro League’s recruitment drive is set to continue with three Chelsea players set for transfers to the Middle East.

N’Golo Kante’s transfer to Al-Ittihad is set to be announced with the France midfielder having agreed a four-year contract with the club, having decided to leave Chelsea on a free transfer this summer.

The 32-year-old will link up with former international team-mate Karim Benzema, with Fabrizio Romano having confirmed that Kante has signed a deal worth €100m after seven successful seasons at Chelsea.

Hakim Ziyech and Kalidou Koulibaly are also set for moves to Saudi Arabia, with the former on the verge of reaching an agreement over personal terms with Al Nassr. The Moroccan made just six Premier League starts for Chelsea last season and will join Cristiano Ronaldo at the nine-time Saudi Pro League champions.

Romano has also revealed that Koulibaly is closing in on a move to Al Hilal. The negotiations for both Ziyech and Koulibaly are understood to be ‘advancing fast’ and the latter is close to accepting the proposal of a three-year contract.

The Senegal international has disappointed since arriving in a £33m deal from Napoli last summer and had been linked with a return to Serie A, with Inter Milan and Juventus reportedly interested.

Chelsea are set to receive transfer fees for both Ziyech and Koulibaly as the club’s clear-out continues under new head coach Mauricio Pochettino.
