Al Hilal submit ‘important’ Milinković-Savić bid

Al Hilal have submitted a ‘concrete and important’ bid to sign Lazio midfielder Sergej Milinković-Savić.

The Saudi Pro League side have offered Lazio a €40m (£34.2m) fee for the Serbia international, who has decided not to renew his contract that expires in 2024.

Al Hilal have offered the midfielder a lucrative three-year contract with Milinković-Savić the latest big name to have received a huge proposal to move to Saudi Arabia.

The 28-year-old has cemented a reputation as one of Serie A’s leading midfielders in recent campaigns. He scored nine goals and laid on eight assists as Lazio secured Champions League qualification last season and has regularly been linked with Premier League clubs in recent transfer windows.

Fabrizio Romano is reporting that Milinković-Savić is yet to make a decision on his future, but has called the proposal from Al Hilal ‘concrete and important’.

Al Hilal have already been active in the transfer window this summer to secure deals for Chelsea centre-back Kalidou Koulibaly and Wolves midfielder Ruben Neves.
