Al Hilal are preparing a €50m bid to tempt Liverpool into selling Luis Diaz.
The Saudi Pro League side are reportedly interested in a deal to sign Diaz this summer, as the division’s remarkable recruitment drive continues.
Portuguese publication Record claim Diaz is a transfer target for Al Hilal, with the club’s manager Jorge Jesus having requested the addition of the Colombia international to his squad.
Diaz has been a major hit since arriving from FC Porto in a deal worth £37.5m in January 2022, but struggled with fitness issues last season.
The winger made just 11 league starts for the Reds, but Liverpool are expected to turn down any approaches from Saudi Arabia with the 26-year-old viewed as an important part of Jurgen Klopp’s side.
Al Hilal have already confirmed the signings of Sergej Milinković-Savić, Ruben Neves and Kalidou Koulibaly this summer, following Saudi Arabia’s ‘Sports Clubs Investment and Privatization Project’ which has seen the nation’s Private Investment Fund take a 75% stake in the nation’s four biggest clubs, Al Ittihad, Al Hilal, Al Ahli and Al Nassr.
Liverpool have also received proposals from Saudi clubs for Jordan Henderson and Fabinho, with the latter in talks with Al Ittihad over a £40m move.
