Juventus have reached an agreement with Romelu Lukaku and are ‘insisting’ on a swap-deal involving the Chelsea forward and Dusan Vlahovic.
Juventus have been in negotiations with Chelsea over a deal to sign Lukaku this summer, with the Belgium international deemed surplus to requirements after returning from a loan spell at Inter Milan.
Lukaku had been expected to sign for Inter on a permanent basis, but interest from Juventus has since seen the former withdraw from talks. Juventus have proposed a deal that would see them sign Lukaku in exchange for a €40m fee and forward Dusan Vlahovic.
Chelsea are understood to have turned down the chance to sign Vlahovic last month, but have since re-opened negotiations with Juventus as the west Londoners look to sign a ‘different profile’ of centre-forward this summer.
Fabrizio Romano is reporting that Lukaku has an agreement in place with Juventus over a three-year deal, though Mauricio Pochettino will make the final decision on whether to sanction the swap.
Lukaku scored 14 goals in all competitions for Inter last season, having been allowed to leave Chelsea on loan.
The 30-year-old had signed for Chelsea in a then-club record £97.5m deal the previous summer, but struggled to make an impact at Stamford Bridge.
