Nottingham Forest’s move for Manchester United goalkeeper Dean Henderson is ‘still on’ despite the club reaching an agreement to sign Arsenal’s Matt Turner.
Henderson spent last season on loan at Forest and shone as the club secured Premier League safety, with the club keen to re-sign the England international for the new season.
Negotiations with Manchester United have so far failed to result in an agreement, though the Red Devils are open to Henderson’s sale after the signing of Andre Onana from Inter Milan.
Forest are reluctant to meet United’s asking price of around £25m for Henderson after the club’s significant spending across the last 12 months, but discussions are ongoing in a bid to reach a deal.
Fabrizio Romano is reporting that a move for Henderson is ‘still on’ despite Forest reaching an agreement to sign Arsenal goalkeeper Matt Turner.
The USA international underwent a medical at the City Ground on Monday ahead of his move to Forest, having struggled for opportunities at Arsenal since signing from MLS side New England Revolution.
Forest are keen to sign both goalkeepers however, and will continue talks with Manchester United in the coming days.
