Ruslan Malinovskyi’s priority is a move to the Premier League or Italy should he leave Marseille this summer, despite interest from Besiktas.
Malinovskyi has received a proposal from Besiktas who are pushing for a deal to sign the Ukraine international.
The 30-year-old only signed for Marseille in an obligated €10m permanent deal this summer after spending last season on loan with the French side, but could be allowed to leave after making just 13 starts in Ligue 1 last season.
The arrivals of Iliman Ndiaye from Sheffield United and Ismaïla Sarr from Watford have also increased competition for places in attacking areas,
Tottenham, West Ham and Nottingham Forest were credited with interest in signing the midfielder last summer, while Chelsea have previously been linked.
Fabrizio Romano is reporting that Malinovskyi’s preference is for a move to the Premier League or return to Serie A, where he had a successful spell at Atalanta before moving to Marseille.
The Ukrainian is regarded as a set-piece specialist and formed part of the Atalanta team that secured three consecutive top-three finishes in Serie A. He led the league for assists in 2020/21.
