Raphael Varane is not interested in leaving Manchester United this summer despite links to The Saudi Pro League.
Varane has been named as a potential transfer target for Saudi sides as the nation’s clubs continue to invest huge sums in overseas talent, but the France international will turn down interest from abroad in favour of remaining at Old Trafford.
Al-Ittihad had been linked with a move for the defender, as the club looked to reunite Varane with fellow Frenchman Karim Benzema and N’Golo Kante in the Middle East.
However, Fabrizio Romano is reporting that Varane has no interest in leaving the Red Devils this summer, while United consider the 30-year-old a ‘key player’ for the forthcoming campaign.
Varane signed for Manchester United from Real Madrid for a fee in the region of £34m in 2021 and has since made 65 appearances for the club in all competitions.
The centre-back has started each of the first two games of the new Premier League season and scored the winner as United opened the campaign with a 1-0 win over Wolves on August 14.
