Crystal Palace are closing in on a deal to sign Dean Henderson from Manchester United, with the goalkeeper set to undergo a medical.
Palace are pushing to sign the England international, who is free to leave Manchester United following the summer arrival of Andre Onana from Inter Milan.
Henderson spent last season on loan at Nottingham Forest, who had been keen to sign the 26-year-old on a permanent basis, but Palace are now nearing an agreement.
Fabrizio Romano is reporting that an agreement is due to be finalised this weekend and Henderson will compete with Sam Johnstone for a place in the side at Selhurst Park.
Henderson’s exit could allow Manchester United to firm up their interest in Fiorentina midfielder Sofyan Amrabat with a formal bid. The Red Devils are working under financial restrictions this summer and have been focused on outgoings before submitting an offer.
Amrabat has not been included in the Fiorentina squad to face Lecce on Sunday as the Moroccan pushes for an exit. The 27-year-old has entered the final 12 months of his deal with the Italian side.
