No Saudi move for Jadon Sancho before transfer deadline

Jadon Sancho will not be leaving Manchester United for the Saudi Pro League before the nation’s transfer deadline.

Sancho is understood to have attracted interest from Saudi sides in the final stages of the window, with the winger having failed to start a Premier League game for Manchester United this season.

The England international faces an uncertain future after his comments this week, criticising Erik ten Hag’s accusations that he has not trained to the required standard as ‘completely untrue’.

Ten Hag said Sancho was not selected at Arsenal last weekend based on his performance in training, before the 23-year-old responded by calling the claims untrue and suggesting he has been made a ‘scapegoat for a long time’.

Sancho has struggled to make an impact since his £72.9m move from Borussia Dortmund in 2021, but The Athletic are reporting that the winger will not leave the Red Devils before the Saudi deadline.

Despite interest, no move is expected to materialise before the Saudi transfer window closes for business on Thursday September 7, at 10pm BST.

Sancho had been linked with joining Jordan Henderson and Demarai Gray at Al Ettifaq, who are under the management of Steven Gerrard.
