The Professional Footballers’ Association has offered its help in a bid to resolve the fallout between Manchester United manager Erik ten Hag and Jadon Sancho.
Sancho is currently training away from the first-team squad at Manchester United after a public dispute with Ten Hag, following comments from the manager that Sancho had been dropped from the squad to face Arsenal for unacceptable performances in training.
Sancho hit back at those claims and branded Ten Hag’s comments ‘completely untrue’, while suggesting he had been made a ‘scapegoat’ since his £72.9m move to Old Trafford from Borussia Dortmund in 2021.
Sancho has since deleted his social media post, but is understood to have refused to apologise for his comments and has been excluded from the main group. The Times are reporting that the PFA have since been in contact with the club to offer advise and help in a bid to end the situation.
However, at present there has been no resolution and Sancho is not expected to feature when Manchester United take on Crystal Palace in the Carabao Cup on Tuesday evening.
The 23-year-old has been linked with leaving the Red Devils in the January transfer window, with Barcelona and Nottingham Forest among the clubs said to be monitoring his situation.
