England manager Gareth Southgate has confirmed his 26-man squad for the upcoming games against Australia and Italy in the October international break.
Jarrod Bowen’s fantastic form for West Ham has earned him a call up, while Ollie Watkins also has a place in the squad following his hat-trick during Aston Villa‘s 6-1 win over Brighton at the weekend.
Meanwhile, Bukayo Saka has been surprisingly called up to the squad despite struggling with an injury. The Arsenal winger was taken off in the first half of Wednesday’s Champions League defeat to RC Lens.
The Three Lions will face Australia in a friendly at Wembley on Friday, October 13, before taking on Italy in a Euro 2024 qualifier at the same venue
