Inter Milan have ruled out a move to sign Chelsea forward Armando Broja during the January transfer window.
Inter have been linked with a move to sign Broja in the winter window, but the club’s sporting director, Piero Ausilio, has dismissed the rumours which have circulated in Italian media.
“We won’t sign Armando Broja in January. We’re happy with the strikers we have,” Ausilio said, as per Fabrizio Romano.
“We know Broja very well, he’s back and he recently scored but there’s no chance to see him joining Inter.”
Broja scored his first goal of the season during Chelsea’s win at Fulham earlier this month, having recovered from a serious knee injury that sidelined the striker for much of last season.
The 22-year-old was subject of interest from rival clubs during the summer window, with West Ham having been keen on a loan deal. AC Milan were also linked with the Albania international, but Mauricio Pochettino has insisted that Broja is part of his plans at Stamford Bridge.
Broja came through the academy system at Chelsea and is competing for a place with summer signing Nicolas Jackson at centre-forward. He has score twice in 23 senior appearances for the Blues and has four goals from 17 caps for Albania.
