Liverpool will be without Andy Robertson in the Merseyside derby this weekend, as the international break strikes again.
The Reds started strongly this campaign, seemingly putting the woes of last season behind them, but have picked up one point in the last two matches.
Although injuries haven’t plagued Jurgen Klopp’s side, new issues certainly won’t be welcomed at Anfield.
Liverpool injury news ahead of Merseyside Derby with Everton:
Andy Robertson
Liverpool’s Scottish left-back is facing surgery on his shoulder after dislocating it during his country’s EURO 2024 qualifier against Spain.
Speaking in his pre-match press conference, Klopp said that the defender ‘will require surgery’ and will be out for a while: “After talking to pretty much all the experts, it looks like surgery will be the best way to go, especially long term. I don’t know exactly how long he will be out.”

Cody Gakpo
Cody Gakpo has returned to training in the lead up to the Everton game.
Klopp spoke on the matter in his pre-match press conference, stating that: “Cody trained once with the team, so we have to see how that goes for tomorrow.”
Diogo Jota and Curtis Jones
Both Jota and Jones were dismissed during their side’s controversial defeat against Tottenham, with the former back in selection.
However due to the ‘violent’ nature of Jones’ offence, two more matches of suspension await.

Thiago and Stefan Bajcetic
Thiago has been absent from the Liverpool squad since the end of last season, with a hip issue.
The Spanish international has faced multiple setbacks in his recovery, which has prolonged the process.
Meanwhile, Bajcetic is recovering from a setback he experienced when returning from a calf issue. Both midfielders will aim to enter the matchday squad in the following weeks.
