Mason Mount was spotted back in training today, ahead of Manchester United’s trip to Newcastle this weekend.
Manchester United made qualification to the Champions League knockout stages an extremely difficult task after a 3-3 draw with Galatasaray midweek.
Manchester United injury news
Mason Mount
A disappointing start to life at Old Trafford for Mason Mount hasn’t been helped by news of a recent injury, with the midfielder missing out on last weekend’s win at Everton, as well as the draw with Galatasaray.
Mount is yet to register a goal contribution in both the Premier League and Champions League for his new side, and will be hoping to use this absence to reset.
The midfielder was spotted in training today, but Erik ten Hag has stated that he doesn’t “know how long it will take, in this moment.”

Christian Eriksen
Christian Eriksen added to Erik ten Hag’s injury woes, after suffering a knee problem against Luton.
The 31-year-old faces a race to return before Christmas, with the all important derby with Liverpool on the 17th of December a target.
Jonny Evans
The Northern Ireland international has provided depth and experience for United in crucial times this season, after eight years away from the club.
The Academy graduate has been out since the Champions League clash with Copenhagen on November 8, which ended in defeat for his side, with Evans hobbling off 13 minutes in.
The 35-year-old is expected to miss out on this weekends game against Newcastle.
Casemiro
Casemiro suffered a setback from a previous injury during the Red Devils’ 3-0 loss to Newcastle in the Carabao Cup. The 31-year-old will be recovering from a hamstring issue until the New Year.
An influential player in Ten Hag’s system, Casemiro’s absence is already being felt in the United midfield, and the Old Trafford faithful will be hoping for an uninterrupted recovery this time round.

Tyrell Malacia and Amad Diallo
Both players were citing December as the month to return, but news coming out of the club this morning has confirmed that Malacia has suffered a setback in his rehabilitation and won’t return until early next year.
The pair have both been out since pre-season, with the Dutch left-back in individual training after surgery to his knee, following a problem originating all the way back in May.
Diallo suffered his knee injury during the club’s tour of the United States, but is also in individual training and has teased fans regarding his return on social media.
Lisandro Martinez
The 2022 World Cup champion has been absent for the majority of this season, following surgery on his foot.
The Argentinian is back at Carrington watching his team in training and will be desperate to help United’s leaky defence as soon as he can. Early 2024 is the target for the defender, the latest predicted return date at the club.
