Ruben Neves says he has no intention of returning to the Premier League in the January transfer window despite interest from Arsenal and Newcastle United.
The Portugal midfielder left Wolves in the summer to join Saudi Pro League outfit Al-Hilal in a deal worth £47 million.
But the 26-year-old has been heavily linked with a loan move to the Magpies in the winter following Sandro Tonali’s 10-month ban for breaching betting regulations, while Arsenal have emerged as potential suitors in recent weeks.
However, when asked by told BBC Sport if he could make a return to England, Neves responded: “I don’t go.”
“I think that’s rumours because of the owner of the clubs of course, and because I’ve played in England as well,” he said.
“There was Newcastle interest before I came here but I’m really happy here, my family’s really happy, so I’m having a great time.”
He continued: “Everything is going really well for me and I want to stay here.”
Both Newcastle and Al-Hilal are owned by the Saudi-run Public Investment Fund, which fueled rumours of a potential deal.
The Premier League last week held a vote on a temporary ban on related-party loans, but it failed to garner the requisite support.
