Sean Dyche said he was delighted as Everton continued their impressive form with a 2-0 win over Chelsea at Goodison Park.
Everton secured a fourth win in five games to pull four points clear of the relegation places, with Abdoulaye Doucoure marking his 100th Premier League appearance with a goal to open the scoring.
The Mali midfielder turned in a rebound after Dominic Calvert-Lewin’s effort was saved, before substitute Lewis Dobbin rifled in his first Everton goal to seal the win.
Everton’s upturn in performances continues under Dyche, who has now overseen three consecutive Premier League wins. The Toffees boss said he was keen to ensure his side had ‘different ways’ to earn results.
“The biggest thing for me is finding different ways to win matches. Today we have had to fight against a really good side,” Dyche told Sky Sports.
“We were going along well [before points deduction] and our form all season has been pretty good. We had to work very hard. Maximum effort from the players has got us the win.
“The thing for me is the squad mentality. It’s not just about the starting XI. The people outside the starting XI have been a credit to themselves.”
