Liverpool make enquiry for Fulham full-back

Liverpool have made an enquiry into the availability of Fulham full-back Antonee Robinson as the club look to combat their defensive injury issues.

Jurgen Klopp is without a recognised senior left-back in his squad after Andy Robertson and Kostas Tsimikas were both sidelined.

The latter broke his collarbone earlier this month, joining Robertson on the treatment table after the Scotland captain dislocated his shoulder on international duty in October.

Joe Gomez has deputised at left-back in recent fixtures, but 90min are reporting that the Reds are targeting specialist cover in the January transfer window.

Liverpool are understood to have contacted Fulham over signing USA international Robinson, who has had an excellent campaign with the Cottagers to date.

The 26-year-old has scored three goals in 18 games for Marco Silva’s side this season and was a standout performer during Fulham’s 4-3 defeat at Liverpool on December 3. The full-back made a huge 13 interceptions and won seven duels at Anfield.

Liverpool also have the option of recalling 21-year-old left-back Owen Beck from a loan spell at Dundee United.
