Kylian Mbappe undecided on Paris Saint-Germain future

Kylian Mbappe has said he is undecided on his future beyond this season as the forward approaches the end of his contract at Paris Saint-Germain.

Mbappe’s current contract expires at the end of the season and the France captain is now free to negotiate a pre-contract agreement with foreign sides. The 25-year-old has been heavily linked with a move to Real Madrid in the summer, while Premier League clubs are also said to be monitoring his situation in Paris.

Mbappe informed PSG that he had no intention of signing a new deal last summer, with the Ligue 1 champions accepting a world-record £259 bid from Al-Hilal for his services as a result.

The forward – who has scored a club 234 goals in 288 games for PSG – turned down a move to the Saudi Pro League and repaired his relationship with the club’s owners ahead of the campaign. However, Mbappe has said he is yet to make a decision on where he will play his football next season.

“First of all, I’m very, very, very motivated for this year. It’s very important,” Mbappe said after scoring in PSG’s 2-0 win over Toulouse, as per the BBC.

“As I said, we’ve got titles to go after and we’ve already won one, so that’s already done. After that, no, I haven’t made up my mind yet.

“But in any case, with the agreement I made with the chairman [Nasser Al-Khelaifi] this summer, it doesn’t matter what I decide.

“We managed to protect all parties and preserve the club’s serenity for the challenges ahead, which remains the most important thing. So we’ll say it’s secondary.”
