Jurgen Klopp has confirmed that Trent Alexander-Arnold, Andy Robertson and Dominik Szoboszlai will all miss Liverpool’s clash with Bournemouth this weekend.
The trio are nearing returns to first-team training but will remain unavailable for this weekend’s Premier League game against the Cherries.
Speculation surrounded a potential return for Alexander-Arnold after the 25-year-old was pictured at a fashion show in Milan this week, but Klopp has confirmed the clash with Bournemouth will come too soon.
The German said each of the trio will be assessed again ahead of Wednesday’s Carabao Cup semi-final second leg at Fulham.
“Obviously he (Alexander-Arnold) can walk, on the catwalk! The injuries are all positive, but not ready,” Klopp said at his pre-match press conference.
“They [Alexander-Arnold, Andy Robertson and Dominik Szoboszlai] are all going in the right direction but we will see when they can join first-team training. I don’t expect them for Bournemouth.
“I hope that nobody else will be out. After Bournemouth and maybe for Fulham how they do. Trent is close, Robertson close and Dom close. So all going in the right direction but for the weekend’s game, no.”
Klopp also provided an update on Mohamed Salah, after the 31-year-old sustained a hamstring issue on international duty with Egypt.
