Lille president Olivier Létang has dismissed rumours that Leny Yoro could leave the Ligue 1 side this month.
Scouts from some of Europe’s top clubs have travelled to France to watch the teenager in action this season, with Yoro having impressed since breaking into the Lille side on a regular basis. The defender has completed 91.3% of his passes in Ligue 1 this season, and only eight players in France’s top tier have bettered that accuracy.
The 18-year-old has made 24 appearances in all competitions, scoring three times, and Paris Saint-Germain, Bayern Munich, Real Madrid and Manchester United are all said to be monitoring the centre-back’s progress.
However, Lille president Létang has told Le Parisien that Yoro will not leave this month and that there have been no negotiations regarding a potential sale.
“Leny Yoro will not leave the club in January,” he said.
“There are no negotiations or talks now contrary to what some suggest.”
Yoro, who is represented by Jorge Mendes, is understood to be valued at around €60m (£51.2m) and Lille expect to receive significant bids for the defender in the summer window. He has represented France at youth level, earning four caps for the u-21 side.
