Marcus Rashford has been included on Paris Saint-Germain’s shortlist for new signings this summer, as the French champions look to replace Kylian Mbappe.
Mbappe has agreed to join Real Madrid on a free transfer at the end of the season and PSG are now preparing to rebuild in the absence of the club’s record scorer.
Attacking reinforcements will dominate their focus and iNews are reporting that Manchester United’s Rashford is on a four-man shortlist of transfer targets. PSG are long-term admirers of the 25-year-old, who has endured an underwhelming season under Erik ten Hag.
Rashford scored 30 goals in all competitions last season to win Manchester United’s Player of the Season award in 2022/23, but has netted only five times in 30 games this time around. He was dropped from the squad to face Newport County in the FA Cup last month, following an off-field disciplinary issue.
The England international’s sale would help alleviate Premier League Profit and Sustainability concerns, as Rashford’s sale would count as complete profit for the Red Devils, given his status as an academy product.
PSG are also interested in signing Victor Osimhem from Napoli, who has been linked with Arsenal and Chelsea and has a release clause of around £130m.
Head coach Luis Enrique is also keen to reunite with Barcelona teenager Gavi, while Bayern Munich midfielder Joshua Kimmich is of interest. The latter will enter the final 12 months of his contract in the summer and has been linked with leaving Germany in search of a new challenge.
