Teun Koopmeiners has informed Atalanta of his desire to leave the club this summer amid interest from Juventus and Premier League clubs.
The midfielder has impressed in Serie A since joining Atalanta from AZ Alkmaar in 2021, reaching double figures for league goals in each of the last two campaigns.
Koopmeiners has scored 10 goals in 25 appearances for the Italian side this season and informed Atalanta of his desire to embark on a new challenge in the summer.
“I have told Atalanta that I want to leave the club in the summer,” Koopmeiners told Telegraaf.
“I hope there will be options to consider this year. I’ve had an amazing time at Atalanta and I hope they will get a big sum.”
Fabrizio Romano has confirmed there is interest from Juventus and Premier League clubs in the 26-year-old, who ranks seventh in Serie A this season for chances created.
Arsenal, Liverpool and Newcastle have all reportedly sent scouts to watch Koopmeiners in action for Atalanta this season, ahead of potential summer moves.
Koopmeiners is currently with the Netherlands national side for March’s fixtures with Scotland and Germany, as the Oranje continue their preparations for the European Championship this summer. He has earned 20 caps for the Dutch at senior level, scoring twice.
