Stuttgart striker Guirassy open to Bayern Munich move

Stuttgart striker Serhou Guirassy is open to a move to Bayern Munich in the summer, despite the presence of Harry Kane.

Guirassy has been one of the breakout stars of the Bundesliga campaign to fire Stuttgart’s push for Champions League football, scoring 22 goals in just 17 league starts so far this season.

The 28-year-old broke the Bundesliga record for goals after seven games, having scored 13 times during an explosive start to the season for Stuttgart.

Guirassy’s form has alerted the attention of clubs across Europe and a modest release clause of €17.5m (£15m) is expected to be triggered in the summer window.

A wealth of Premier League clubs, including West Ham, Tottenham, Manchester United and Newcastle, have been credited with interest in the Guinea international, while Bayern Munich have also been named among his suitors.

Sky Germany are reporting that Guirassy would be open to a move to Munich despite the presence of Harry Kane at the Allianz Arena.

His decision would depend on who is appointed as head coach, with Thomas Tuchel set to leave at the end of the campaign, and whether Bayern would utilise a system with two centre-forwards.

However, despite admiration for Guirassy there are reservations from Bayern over a summer move. The total package of the deal could exceed €60m including salary and signing on fees, while there are concerns around stunting the development of Mathys Tel, with the 18-year-old having shone in sporadic support of Kane this season.
