€35m price tag revealed for Euros star on Premier League radar

Georgia goalkeeper Giorgi Mamardashvili will be allowed to leave Valencia this summer for a fee in the region of €35m (£29.6m).

Mamardashvili has been an impressive performer at this summer’s European Championship as major tournament debutants Georgia have reached the knockout rounds.

Georgia booked their place in the Round of 16 at Euro 2024 with a 2-0 win over Portugal on Wednesday evening, as Mamardashvili continued his excellent form with a clean sheet.

Newcastle and Chelsea are among the Premier League clubs keeping a close eye on his displays for the national team ahead of a potential approach this summer.

Fabrizio Romano has revealed that Valencia are planning to sell the shot-stopper in the current transfer window and will demand a fee of around €35m for his services.

The 23-year-old is regarded as one of the best up-and-coming goalkeepers in Europe and last season led La Liga for penalties saved (3) and goals prevented (+8.2).

Valencia have already secured their successor after agreeing a deal to sign experienced North Macedonia international Stole Dimitrievsk on a free transfer from divisional rivals Rayo Vallecano.
