The date to activate Dani Olmo’s release clause at RB Leipzig has been extended until July 20th after Spain reached the final of Euro 2024.
Olmo has a release clause of €60m (£51m) in his contract with the Bundesliga side and is attracting interest from several leading clubs following his performances this summer.
The 26-year-old has scored three times and provided two assists during Spain’s run to the final, where La Roja will face England in Berlin on Sunday.
Olmo is leading the standings in the race for the tournament’s Golden Boot and has been linked with Barcelona and Premier League clubs.
The Spaniard’s release clause was due to expire on Monday July 15th, but Fabrizio Romano has revealed that Spain’s progress at the European Championship has extended that date.
Interested clubs will not have until July 20th to activate the clause in what could be a competitive race to secure his signature.
Olmo has become the first Spain player to score in three consecutive knockout games at a major tournament and netted the winner as Luis de la Fuente’s side beat France in the semi-finals on Tuesday evening.
