Manchester United are prepared to lower their asking price for Aaron Wan-Bissaka to just £10m as the Red Devils look to persuade West Ham into signing the defender.
West Ham have expressed interest in signing Wan-Bissaka, who is free to leave Manchester United this summer after losing his place as an automatic starter.
However, the Hammers are also considering an approach for Bayern Munich defender Noussair Mazraoui, who coincidentally leads Manchester United’s shortlist of options to replace Wan-Bissaka at Old Trafford.
Sky Germany are reporting that United are prepared to lower their asking price for Wan-Bissaka, in a bid to offload the right-back to the Hammers and remove the competition from the London side for Mazraoui.
The latter has been informed he can leave Bayern Munich this summer with the Bavarians boasting Josip Stanišić, Sacha Boey and Joshua Kimmich as options at right-back and could be available for a fee in the region of €15m (£12.6m).
Erik ten Hag previously worked with the Morocco international at Ajax, where Mazraoui broke into the first-team during Ten Hag’s tenure. He made 137 appearances for Ajax, scoring 10 goals, before his transfer to the Bundesliga in 2022.
United are targeting a double deal for Mazraoui – who can play in either full-back position – and club teammate Matthijs de Ligt. The Red Devils have had an opening bid for De Ligt turned down with Bayern holding out for a fee of €50m for the centre-back.
