Fiorentina have made an approach to sign Cesare Casadei with the Chelsea midfielder expected to leave in search of first-team football.
Casadei signed for Leicester on loan last summer and scored twice in 22 appearances for the Foxes, though was surprisingly recalled by Chelsea in the January transfer window.
The 21-year-old was afforded just 71 minutes of Premier League football upon his return to Stamford Bridge and several sides have expressed interest in signing the midfielder this summer.
Fabrizio Romano has revealed that three or four clubs are keen on signing Casadei, with Fiorentina having contacted Chelsea to discuss the conditions of a deal.
Chelsea are set to make a decision on the player’s future, who despite his high potential has failed to make a breakthrough in West London.
Casadei has represented Italy up to u-21 level and starred during the u-20 World Cup in 2023 as the Azzurri finished as runners-up. He scored seven goals to win the tournament’s Golden Ball and Golden Boot awards, including a late penalty to eliminate England in the Round of 16.
