Marseille have ended their interest in signing Eddie Nketiah from Arsenal, after failing to meet the North London side’s valuation of the forward.
The French side had an initial offer of £23m turned down by the Gunners, who are demanding a fee of £30m for the one-cap England international.
Nketiah is keen to leave Arsenal after struggling for regular first-team football last season, with the 25-year-old starting just 10 league games amid competition from Kai Havertz and Gabriel Jesus.
However, La Minute OM are reporting that Nketiah’s hopes of moving to Marseille have fallen through with the Ligue 1 side ending their interest in bringing the forward to The Stade Vélodrome.
Marseille have shifted their focus towards signing Borussia Dortmund teenager Youssoufa Moukoko. The 19-year-old has informed Dortmund of his desire to leave and intention to join Marseille, who are in negotiations with the Bundesliga side over a potential loan-to-buy arrangement.
