Liverpool are yet to make a signing this summer but there is expected to be movement from the Reds before the transfer deadline this month.

The club’s plans across the remainder of the transfer window have now been revealed with The Athletic reporting that Liverpool want to sign a defensive midfielder before the window slams shut.
Liverpool failed with bids to sign Romeo Lavia and Moises Caicedo 12 months ago and remain on the hunt for a long-term anchor in midfield.
Wataru Endo arrived from Stuttgart last summer but will turn 32 this season, while Slot has experimented with Dominik Szoboszlai and Ryan Gravenberch in the number six during pre-season. The latter shone against Manchester United but Liverpool remain interested in signing a specialist for the role.
The report claims Liverpool are pursuing an unnamed player based outside of the Premier League.
There has been tentative speculation linking Liverpool with Porto midfielder Alan Varela and Atalanta’s Ederson, who impressed during the Italian side’s run to Europa League success in 2023-24.
Liverpool were also credited with interest in Manuel Ugarte last summer, who has been subject of interest from Manchester United and can leave PSG for a fee of around €60m this summer.
