Todibo completes ‘dream’ move after missing out on Man Utd transfer

Jean-Clair Todibo says it is a “dream come true” to be a Premier League player after completing his move to West Ham United.

The French defender joins the Hammers from Nice on an initial loan deal with an option to buy for £35 million. The London outfit managed to fend off interest from Juventus, who could not come to an agreement with the Ligue 1 club.

Manchester United had also been looking to sign Todibo, but a deal was not possible. The Red Devils and Nice agreed not to transfer players between each other to ensure they can both play in the same Uefa competition.

“I am really excited to be signing for West Ham United. It is a dream come true to play in the Premier League, the best league in the world,” the 24-year-old said.
