Al-Hilal agree deal for Premier League transfer target

Bayern Munich and Al-Hilal have agreed a deal for the transfer of Kingsley Coman.

Coman has been deemed surplus to requirements at Bayern Munich with the club’s stance on his future having alerted clubs across Europe.

There have been enquiries from a number of the Premier League’s top clubs for the France international, including Liverpool, while Barcelona have also expressed interest in a loan deal.

However, Saudi side Al-Hilal are pushing to beat European competition to the 28-year-old and have reached an agreement with Bayern over a fee and payment terms, according to Sky Germany.

Coman’s preference is to remain in Europe, though the Frenchman will consider Al-Hilal should no opportunities of interest arrive before Friday’s deadline.

Bayern are keen to offload the eight-time Bundesliga winner to reduce their wage bill and bring in revenue for further signings, amid interest in Bayer Leverkusen centre-back Jonathan Tah.

Discussing Coman’s expected exit, Bayern CEO Jan-Christian Dreesen said this week: “You can imagine that I won’t comment on current rumours during the last days of the transfer window. It’s not appropriate towards the players, and it only fuels unnecessary speculation.”
