Chelsea midfielder Cole Palmer has been named as the Premier League Player of the Month for September.
The 22-year-old led the Premier League for goal involvements during the month, after scoring five times for the West Londoners and providing an assist. Four of Palmer’s goals came in the same fixture after an astonishing individual performance against Brighton at Stamford Bridge.
The England international became the first player in Premier League history to score four goals before half-time in a game, and sealed his hat-trick with a fantastic free-kick from distance.
Palmer has won the EA SPORTS Player of the Month award for a second time, after also claiming the accolade in April 2024. He follows Erling Haaland in winning the Player of the Month award this season after the Manchester City striker scooped August’s prize.
No player in the Premier League has more goal involvements (11) than Palmer this season, with the PFA Young Player of the Year having also led the Premier League for combined goals and assists in 2023/24.
