Manchester United are interested in re-signing Angel Gomes from Lille next summer, though face competition from Tottenham Hotspur for the midfielder.
Gomes has caught the eye since being introduced into the England squad under Lee Carsley, with the 24-year-old impressive on debut in September and again during this month’s internationals.
His performances have attracted interest from the Premier League and Gomes’ contract situation adds to his appeal. The midfielder is out of contract at Lille in the summer and English teams can approach Gomes in January to discuss a pre-contract agreement.
GIVEMESPORT are reporting that Manchester United are interested in re-signing their former academy graduate on a free transfer.
In 2017, Gomes made his debut for the Red Devils at 16. He became the club’s youngest debutant since Duncan Edwards in 1953, but made just 10 senior appearances before leaving for France.
Spurs are also admirers of the player, who won plaudits for his comfortability at the base of England’s midfield during the weekend win in Finland.
